Hawthorn Football Club Communty Engagement

ParaQuad Tasmania hosted the Hawthorn Football Club in a number of wheelchair Aussie rules games and community engagement sessions during February.

The Hawks took on the Tassie team in a rough and tumble game at Moonah sports stadium. Whilst the wheelchair chair skills of the Tassie outfit were outstanding, they could’nt match the silky smooth ball delivery that was provided to the forwards through the centre of the court. by the Hawks.

Next it off to Launceston for a day of school visits and games with students and staff. Riverside High School and Launceston College enjoyed sessions in the wheelchairs, before it was time for a game against the North West outfit. The Hawks were no match for the might of the Tassie team going down by 5 goals.

It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the games, learning a number of new skills and meeting some of their sporting heroes.

ParaQuad Tasmania would like to thank the Hawthorn Football Club for their time and involvement and look forward to working with them again in the future.
