“We have just spent a fortnight in Unit 2 with our adult wheelchair-dependent son. What a wonderful place, and wonderful people! The open-plan unit is huge, with plenty room to manoeuvre a wheelchair, and everything needed is provided, including electric hospital beds. A wonderful view of Mt Wellington from the kitchen (we saw snow on it!).Only 8 km out of Hobart, and a few minutes’ level walk to the local shopping centres (Coles, Woolies, Target, K Mart, etc). Carmel, Georgia and the boys are really warm, welcoming people. Finding Glenn Moore was a great bonus, and made our holiday so much easier. Very highly recommended.” – Lyn H
“We stayed in unit one which was enormous. It had everything from a ceiling hoist that connected the main bedroom to the bathroom, to a mobile hoist for other journeys (!), from a shower commode to powered venetians. A fully equipped kitchen, spare linen and towels, and soooo much space. There’s shops nearby, plus a bus into Hobart proper every 10 minutes (and while the occasional bus may not be accessible, all the ones we saw were, even the ones that weren’t supposed to be). Practical rather than luxurious, but exceptionally wheelchair friendly and in a quiet neighborhood, the unit has everything you need without the hassle of having to find and hire equipment from somewhere else. And pricewise it’s a bargain.” – Vicky
“It was the best place we have stayed at in Australia. My son is in an electric wheelchair and it ticked all the boxes” – Carmel S.
